Ironic

"Ironic how the people who know the least about you, always have the most to say." -ISFN

I've read this quote a few days ago in one of my facebook friend status. I smile a little and try to feel the message. I know, admittedly I was once like this kind of people way back, before I had all the struggle in my life, before I hurt and been happy with myself, before I got mature and learned that life is all about you and your creator and no one else. Because when you have him, the right way and timing will follow. Growing up Mom used to say that we should learn how to be with other people and how to deal with them. I tried my best to learn and master the habit. I thought life would be much easy right after college but, this is where I started to meet different kinds of people, and this is where I start hurting them and hurting myself too. Sometimes we say things we didn't mean. But the worst of them all is that you hurt yourself and you cannot even blame anyone right? But I guess without experiencing all those by myself I will not be able to know myself better. And another quote that inspire me says " Conquer yourself and you conquer the whole world" because I believed that the worst enemy is ourselves, not them, not other people. And I experienced this quote first hand in my life. Along the way, we encounter a lot of people, in different forms. But I think if we know our self better we have nothing to worry about. Just laugh at them and move on with your life. After all at the end of the day you are not liable to anyone but just to yourself and up above there I believed.

Christmas 2010

December 24'10- Midnight

I don't know where to start and what to write, but my mind kept on saying come on It's been long since you've written your last post and since Christmas is almost over just a simple article to keep your blog alive. The end of the year was nearly coming and Christmas day was almost finished and to sum up all the things happened to me in the year 2010 some are bad, very bad, but there are still a lot of good things to consider that made my life quite memorable and exciting. I don't want to remember 2010 as the worst year of my life because of some inconsiderate and narrow-minded people and encounter unavoidable circumstances but rather most learning year for me. I've learned to love myself better, to love and appreciate more the people around me. That accuracy of information should be considered in judging other people's lives or rather don't judge so you will not be judged. That my happiness does not depend on somebody else's opinion. That past was passed and I have to live with the present and future as well (mamatay sa inggit ang nakaraan), and a lot of things to be thankful for. Thank you for we survive the 10 years and still counting, the 1 year outside of our comfort zone and we proved them wrong. Christmas was a really memorable day for me because I remember it was also Christmas when my husband and I first lived together. I know some condemn us then even not knowing the real story and the real reason behind because we didn't follow the regular norms of getting married and living together. But after 10 years I've learned to have peace with myself. Maybe by realizing a lot of things and learning that marriage it not about wedding bells and not just a mere piece of paper and the thought of wearing a grand fabulous dress just to please other people's imagination was all act of a narrow-minded person. That marriage is all about two people dreaming, loving and caring for each other, and committed to fulfilling their dream was one of the main goal to be considered to move on each day and live well. So now another year is coming and hopefully the realization of our dream is not far enough to fulfill with the guidance of the Lord. I hope I will live my life to the fullest without judging other people, without condemning them in the future. For he said ‘If anyone of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.’ Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, ‘Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?’ ‘No one, sir,’ she said. ‘Then neither do I condemn you,’ Jesus declared. ‘Go now and leave your life of sin.’" (John 8:3-11, emphasis mine).

Quote # 2

You are worried about seeing him spend his early years in doing nothing.  What!  Is it nothing to be happy?  Nothing to skip, play, and run around all day long?  Never in his life will he be so busy again.  ~Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Emile, 1762

You can learn many things from children.  How much patience you have, for instance.  ~Franklin P. Jones

Forgiveness

While having thought of the past events happened in my relationship with God and with the people around. I came across with this passage that really struck me with thunder in my heart. Forgiveness for sure was the hardest thing we can do to someone but if we are going to read verses about forgiveness it will surely change your mind just like me.

On Matthew 18:21-22 "Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times."

WHAT???? can I do that Lord? Proceed...

Then on Luke 6:37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Okay, this sounds a little bit convincing because I don't want to be judged, but what if? Proceed...

Also on Matthew 6:14-16 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Mmmmm...

Mark 11:25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

But this one really made me realize because I always told my children that in our home we should always follow the Golden Rule and the Rest will follow.

From the parable of the Unmerciful Servant

Matthew 18: 32-35 "Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow-servant just as I had on you?' In anger, his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured until he should pay back all he owed. This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart."

I don't want to be tortured and punish so I pray to God to give me more courage to forgive those who sinned against me,  after all I am also a sinner. How about you did you already ask yourself this question "How many times should you forgive your enemy who sinned against you? just a thought.
